If you’re still feeling road weary or wayworn – our restaurant, Grove, is just a few steps from the Inn. If you’re itching to see the area and want to stay local for dinner, we recommend going to the Clam Box, known for their “legendary” fried clams and seafood in Ipswich. If you’re looking to go a little further, we recommend trying Ledger in Salem with upscale New England cuisine and creative cocktails. Finish the night with ice cream from White Farms Ice Cream, just around the corner from Briar Barn Inn.
SATURDAY MORNING
Enjoy fresh baked goods and coffee, complimentary with your stay. If you’re looking for a great local cup of joe, make sure to try Little Wolf Coffee Roasters, only a 5 minute drive!
SATURDAY AFTERNOON & EVENING: NEWBURYPORT
Head to Newburyport to enjoy shopping the boutiques on State Street / Pleasant Street, go for a whale watch that leaves right out of downtown, and/or head to Plum Island to relax at the beach.
There are a TON of great dining options in Newburyport! We recommend trying The Poynt, Paddle Inn, The Black Cow, or Adiamo, depending on what you are looking for. It’s hard to go wrong with so much great food and cocktails!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON & EVENING: CAPE ANN
Take the 1A scenic bypass for a beautiful coastal drive. Shop Bearskin Neck in Rockport, head to Good Harbor Beach for a sun-soaked day, and/or take a walk around Halibut Point State Park to see a quarry with ocean views.
Like Newburyport, Cape Ann has many great dining options. We recommend trying Minglewood Harbourside, Short & Main, The Studio, or Tonno for dinner.

Join us for brunch at Grove, our on-site post-and-beam barn restaurant. Grove offers a relaxed dining experience where guests can enjoy inventive cuisine and casual favorites. Our seasonal menu focuses on farm-fresh ingredients, inspired flavors, and classics with a twist.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
During the summer months, The Barn at Todd Farm offers a seasonal flea market in Rowley. This is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday after enjoying brunch.
