Local Coffee Haunts
Briar Barn Inn offers freshly brewed Lavazza Coffee every morning to our inn guests. But, if your plans involve heading to a downtown destination for your cup of Joe, the North Shore offers many great options for coffee, tea, and baked goods. These local four spots are some of our favorites!
1 | Honeycomb
Located in Hamilton, this bakery and café focuses on creating beautiful foods and products. Their bakers and baristas have spent years perfecting their craft and work with only the finest of ingredients. At Honeycomb you’ll find a drool-worthy selection of baked goods available “until they run out” and some of your favorite espresso beverages poured with a flourish of latte art. Great sandwiches and salads round out the menu at this beautiful spot along Bay Road.

2 | Little Wolf Coffee Roasters
Located directly across from Ipswich High School is this “little local gem”. From the moment you set foot inside this open and airy re-purposed garage, you will see why it’s become one of the North Shore’s up and coming caffeination destinations. Little Wolf’s owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their brewed coffee is some of the best, offering cold-brew, espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos. One of the most unique things about this shop is that they roast their own coffee on the premises. The Little Wolf environment is definitely a hidden sanctuary.

3 | Zumi’s Espresso
Since 2003, this independently owned coffeehouse and ice cream bar (locally made!) has been the North Shore’s exemplary destination for coffee, ice cream, tea, pastries, bagels, and frappes. Their fair trade certified organic coffee comes from one roaster who gets his beans from a handful of farmers in several countries around the world. Their simple goal is to consistently serve you the world’s best coffee while doing their part to preserve the environment we all share. Zumi’s frequently hosts community events, art displays, and open mic nights!

They offer traditionally brewed coffee, cold brew, lattes, and seasonal specials in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. They also serve a variety of baked goods, yogurt, oatmeal, a breakfast burrito, paninis, soups, and salads (seasonally).
